Really? Bacon? I’m a semitarian too, using my exceptions for family gatherings and the occasional serving of fish, but I really don’t understand the reach for bacon. You’re twice the foodie I’ll ever be, so I could be missing something, but even before I went (mostly) veg, the flavor of bacon always seemed so… obvious. If I had to choose a land-faring animal that tantalizes my phantom palate most often, it’s that gentle, defenseless, I-hate-myself-for-enjoying-your-flesh lamb. Oh, how that delicious meat taunts my convictions.
