I’m typing this on my MacBook Pro, I walked to work listening to music on my iPhone but I have been shaken to my core by the videoclip in the middle of this page.

There is a difference between building a prototype and shipping a product. Microsoft has shown time after time great ideas and prototypes, but what was their last truly amazing product? Zune HD? Xbox 360? Big Ass Table Computer?

Microsoft was in the mobile phone OS market for years. They had every advantage. Apple comes along with the iPhone and blows them away. The Courier looks very interesting. I would like to see how it works in real life rather than in a demo. The awesome looking integration reminds me of other integration applications that I have seen. You aren’t still using a “Works” program, are you? The thing with Microsoft is that everything runs Windows. Xbox runs a version of Windows. Windows Mobile is Windows. It would be a huge departure for Courier to not run Windows. To somehow run some other operating system. I guess I’m just cynical. Microsoft is the king of vaporware. Rumors of a tablet from Apple start heating up and all of a sudden Courier shows up? I’ll believe it’s a real product when I see it. After that, we’ll see how successful it is or if it takes the path of Zune and Windows Mobile.
